2019 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
A heroic, dense and muscular rendition of the Hoffmann’s sun drenched Eben-Ezer earths.
Laced together from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families vineyard, planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.31 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare) with a thimble from the neighbouring Eric’s Corner planted in 1996 (0.39 Hectare).
These 19 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2020 after enduring their 81 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 21 & 27 hectolitres per hectare.
5216 bottles were filled.

2018 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah
A composition of our most pertinent casks from the very amiable 2018 growing season.
Derived from the two oldest sections within the Hoffmann families ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard, planted on their own roots in 1927 (0.435 Hectare) & the oldest vines between 1888 & 1912 (0.775 Hectare).
These 23 Burgundian Pièces were carefully assembled and bottled amidst the spring of 2019 after enduring their 78 week elevage. Bottles were filled without filtration, fining or sparging (the removal of naturally occurring oxygen & C02) and all transfer’s were completed via gravity prior to bottling.
Yields ranged between 29 & 38 hectolitres per hectare.
6341 bottles were filled.

An unvintaged ‘assemblage’ composed of casks from 2020 (51%), 2019 (31%), 2018 (3%), 2017 (8%), 2016 (5%) & 2015 (2%). Exclusively sourced from our five treasured plots within the Hoffmann’s ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard from vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1960, 1927 & the oldest vines planted prior to 1912.
